Family and Friends Satisfaction Survey

Family members’ play an important role in a clients’ care experience. 

Another Perspective

This year we completed a Friends, Relatives and Advocates Survey. The reason for this was to gain an insight on the care we provide from a different but important perceptive. 

In addition, some clients do not have the mental capacity or patience to complete a survey with ourselves. Therefore, we felt it was necessary to contact their relatives who are heavily involved in the client's care experience. 

The survey was comprised of five categories; safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led. 

Examples of questions for each category and the overall results are shown below.

"Staff treat me with dignity, respect, kindness and compassion, as well as the person important to me."

"The treatment and support of the person important to me is set out in writing and tells staff what is needed to support them better."


"They are helped by staff to not feel lonely and to stay in contact with me and other family members."

"The managers are honest, including when things go wrong."


"Staff and mangers work effectively with others who may be involved in caring for the person important to me."
