Our carers assist with tasks including getting up and going to bed, washing, showering or bathing, getting dressed/undressed and toileting.
Our carers are trained to use specialist equipment to aid mobility of loved ones and can supervise those who are more able.
Caring for someone who takes medication and managing what they take can be stressful. We would like to alleviate this stress from loved ones and their families.
Your carer will have access to an application detailing what medication should be taken at that specific call. Our carers can then remind your loved one to take their medication. Our carers can also issue the correct dosage at the right time. Alerts are sent to our Office when the medication has not been taken, for whatever reason.
For people suffering with dementia, the familiarity of their own home can make a world of difference. Our focus is to make sure clients feel safe, secure and comfortable in their own home.
Our carers are trained to understand what a person with dementia may be feeling and how to handle some challenging situations dementia brings.
Our Carers have the knowledge and expertise to manage loved ones with learning disabilities, mental health conditions, sensory impairment and physical disability.
Being a carer for a loved one, neighbour or friend can be very demanding and can end up with you feeling isolated and often worn out.
Here at Crystal Caring, We can offer you the reassurance that one of our Carers can be with your loved one while you set aside some very important time for yourself.
During companionship calls, we can build up a good rapport with you, your loved one and your families, and will be able to offer the help and support that may be needed. Companionship calls can be tailored to meet your needs and will be at times that suit you.
Companionship calls are also available for those living alone that would like to have some company.
This could be to have a cup of tea, go out for lunch or simply to run an errand, such as shopping or attending an appointment.
Our staff will stay with you and take you wherever you need to go. Socials calls are also available in which our Carers can take your loved one to the cinema, shopping, out for food, to nearby establishments such as the Zoo and Garden centre and nearby events.
Having this opportunity means your loved one can experience more and have their spirits uplifted by a friendly face.
Their day broken up with an outing and have something to look forward to.
Crystal Caring also offers domestic services such as cleaning.
We also help with laundry and shopping. Carers can prepare food for clients if requested and will always ensure all clients are nourished with food and drink by making a note of fluids and food consumed during visits.
We even have the capabilities to handle those suffering with Hoarding Disorder.
We understand this is challenging to treat because many people who hoard often do not see it as a problem or are not aware of how it's affecting their life or the lives of their loved ones. Many do realise they have a problem but are reluctant to seek help due to feeling extremely ashamed, humiliated or guilty about it.
If one of your loved ones suffers from this, it’s important to encourage them to seek help, as their difficulties discarding objects can not only cause loneliness and mental health problems but also pose a health and safety risk.
This is a problem that will probably never go away, so we urge that you do to give us a call.
